My Beef with Drake and Meek Mill

BY: Dr. Ray

As a student of the Hip Hop Revolution, I find myself asking the question, “Why do Black hip hop artists engage in public beef wars with each other?” I remember some of hip hop most destructive feuds: 2Pac vs Biggie, Nas vs Jay Z, Bow Wow vs Soulja Boy, Game vs 50 Cent, and Drake vs Chris Brown. Now, one of the biggest beef wars is between Drake vs Meek Mill. Both of these brilliant Black men have decided to find ways of destroying each other’s character and image. They have decided to diss and belittle each other in the public sector. As a Black man who will always fight for the liberation of my peoples, I find myself asking the following questions: “Why are these Black men fighting for the destruction of my peoples?” “Why are these Black men utilizing their brilliant talents to destroy each other?” “Why are these Black men trying to solicit the Black community to engage in their beef wars?” ’“Why are these Black men refusing to settle their conflicts with each other in private?” “Why are these Black men reinforcing negative stereotypical images of Blackhood?” “Why are these Black men embracing a Eurocentric ideology?” Why aren’t these Black men embracing an African-centered ideology?” But more importantly, “Why aren’t these Black men calling on me (Dr. Ray) for assistance with helping them to develop leadership, guidance, and love for our peoples?”

I truly love Drake and Meek Mill. These Black men are so wise and talented. They are our leaders, teachers, and role models. They are the foundation of creativity, ambition, and scholarship. They are the visionaries that will take the Hip Hop Revolution to greater heights like never before. Therefore, as a true student of the Hip Hop Revolution, I am demanding that Drake and Meek Mill cease with their painful and destructive beef wars. I am demanding that Drake and Meek Mill engage in respect and brotherly love with each other. I am demanding that Drake and Meek Mill continue to create music that will empower us as Black people. I am demanding that Drake and Meek Mill help to fight for the liberation of all Black people. I am demanding that Drake and Meek Mill united together for the betterment of African people throughout the diaspora. I am demanding that Drake and Meek Mill encourage all hip hop artist to never engage in public beef wars. I am demanding that Drake and Meek Mill continue to become the greatest human beings on the planet. Therefore, never forget that you can always contact your Brutha (me-Dr. Ray) if you ever want any help elevating yourselves to a higher level of African-centered spiritual consciousness. Long Live the Hip Hop Revolution!!!
