Quentin D. Wright- Deja 2 (poem) #nationalpoetrymonth

deja vu

I open the door check my mirrors and honor the reflection past and present

check the mileage and the gas gauge

I have a full tank but it feels as if I have been running on E

speedometer reads Gods speed

the mileage reads heaven only knows

this life has placed me on many different roads

we honor the growth God the perfect wheelman lord willing

some will never know your intentions

the selfish part of the mind will deny your mentions

the distance I will go for you is not the meters one would travel for me

lessons learned in a journey one likely a journey of none

apply the same pressure to diamonds

apply the same pressure to mindless behavior

keep pushing

just keep pushing
